There is ample parking available at the church for parking. We ask guests to reserve parking on the upper lot for those with limited mobility.

If your invitation includes their names then yes they are welcome to come with you! We will have activity bags for small children at the ceremony and an activity table at the reception venue. The reception venue also has a playground which children are welcome to use. Some may wish to come to this event alone to get some fun time away and that is okay too, please choose the option best for your family. If you are unsure about your guest allotment please reach out to us for clarification.

Question

Who can I bring with me?

Answer

Each invitation sent included the names of those invited. When you RSVP you should receive a designated number corresponding to those on the invitation. Please RSVP only those invited. We cannot accommodate extra people.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

While we want our guests to be comfortable and have a good time we do expect semi-formal attire. Feel free to personalize your style but we want our wedding to be a special event for everyone and our videographer and photographer will be taking pictures all afternoon, so show up in your best! If you are unsure what semi-formal attire is here is a small article with examples for you to reference. Link: https://www.theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-semi-formal Note: The colors of our wedding are navy, burgundy and gold. Please consider limiting these colors in your attire so as to not clash with the wedding party!

Question

How religious will this wedding be?

Answer

The ceremony will be held in a church and also be conducted similar to a Sunday church service. Expect a longer ceremony, about 40-45 minutes. We will sing, pray, read scripture, have a small homily, plus communion along with the normal wedding specifics. This ceremony will be a reflection of who we are as a couple. Our faith is a cornerstone of our commitment to one another. We are aware that not all our guests believe as we do, so we invite you to participate to your comfort level. The reception will be "Christian light" as we mostly focus on celebrating and being with our friends and family. If you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to reach out to us so we can talk with you about it!

Question

What will be served for dinner?

Answer

Due to our large invite list, and time of day, there will be no dinner service. This reception will be light refreshments only! Please plan accordingly when making plans for our big day. We tried to time our event so you have time for both lunch before and dinner after the festivities.

Question

Will there be alcohol at the reception?

Answer

Our reception will not serve any liquor, spirits or drinks of the adult kind. We will have a variety of teas, coffee and cold beverages instead! While this is may be a surprise, the rules of our location do not allow alcohol of any kind on the premises. Also, we do not drink ourselves and felt it was not in the spirit of our relationship. Instead, we recommend continuing the party after the reception with friends and family in another location! The party will end with plenty of time to enjoy the evening. The Lafayette area has multiple pubs, bars and nightlife locations to choose from. Check out our some of our favorite places for good recommendations!

Question

I can't be there in person, are you streaming the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We of course wish for you to be there with us in person if you are able, but understand things happen. Please feel welcome to join us online as we will be streaming our wedding live via Facebook. You can find that link on on the homepage.

Question

What should I bring as a gift?

Answer

Your presence is the best gift you can give; but if you are able to bless us beyond that, our preference is cash gifts to be put towards a small honeymoon. If a traditional item based gift is more your style then please view our registry above and purchase an item off of there. We thank you for any gift, big or small!

Question

What is the weather like in Indiana during October?

Answer

Indiana in fall can be beautiful! Typically this weekend has moderate chill in the morning and evenings with sunny and warm days. The weather in the Midwest can be quite unpredictable so we recommend coming prepared with layers and maybe some rain gear!
