There are countless restaurants, stores, and western activities throughout the Stockyards. While we have some favorites, just walking around will guarantee a good time. With a 'no open container' law, enjoy a drink as you explore! Every day at 11:30AM and 4PM (weather permitting), the cattle drive travels through the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards on East Exchange Avenue in front of the Livestock Exchange Building. If you're looking for a traditional Fort Worth event, the local rodeo at the historic Cowtown Coliseum is worthy of a visit (It's also Championship weekend). Hotel Drover has a beautiful dining and outdoor area. Grab a drink at the Veranda Bar and enjoy the Drover Backyard (it is open to the public for those staying elsewhere). For those staying at the Drover, the pool is a great place to spend your afternoon.
Grab a drink and watch some live music or live bull riding at Billy Bob’s Texas, the World’s Largest Honky Tonk. They typically have ticketed concerts at night, but you can go in before 5:00 for a small cover.
Built in 1908 the Cowtown Coliseum is the home of the worlds first indoor rodeo. The Stockyards Championship rodeo features timed events such as tie-down roping, breakaway roping, team roping and barrel racing.
Panther City is one of our favorite BBQ spots in Fort Worth.
Joe T. Garcia’s is an iconic Fort Worth restaurant. This is a casual, family-owned Mexican restaurant known for its margaritas and stunning outdoor patio. Joe T’s does not accept reservations and you should expect a line, but the wait is well worth it. Cash only.
The Largest Whiskey Distillery West of the Mississippi. Just a short drive from the Stockyards. Closed Sunday.
