God's in the details

We'll give you both sides! Cynthia's story: I had heard of an eligible bachelor that was attending my local church in Las Vegas, however I never put much thought into it as dating was not my highest priority at that time. Cinco de Mayo rolled around and one of my friends decided to get a bunch of people together to celebrate! I met Jeff for the first time, we all took a group picture that was uploaded by someone on instagram and our mutual friend sent him a message to ask him about whether or not he had talked to me.....and then I left back to Alaska! When I got back to Vegas after leaving for the whole summer, he slid into the DM's and we went out on our first date to El Dorado Cantina, over the next weeks we got to know each other and fell in love. God has truly moved in every aspect of of our relationship and we are so excited to be married! Jeff's Story: Little did we know how a small lunch conversation on Cinco De Mayo 2019 would later turn into our fist date--that would quickly turn into our love story. From the first date, the rest was history. We quickly became best friends and found ourselves wanting to spend any chance we could together. God has ultimately had his hand and his blessing on our relationship from the beginning and we're so grateful. The timing, the effortless love and the memories we've created are just the beginning. Very quickly we sensed this was a match made in heaven. Within the first three months of dating we had the privileged of spending four weeks traveling together and spending time with family. This time spent together quickly helped forge a solid relationship.

Our Proposal

Originally, before COVID19, Jeff was going to propose in Las Vegas, amidst my family and friends there. However, God had other plans. While the pandemic was going on, Jeff came to Alaska to spend time with me and my family. I was completely surprised, Jeff, my mom and sister had planned to go to the jewelry store the day before to find the ring and all the details so he could propose in the backyard :-) To keep me occupied and busy my dad went ahead and made sure I left with him to work for the majority of the day and when I got home I asked Jeff to help us unload the food we had just bought into the house. One of my sisters called me to go downstairs to help her with something and as I walked down the stairs I noticed Jeff was standing there and I looked at him and asked him why he wasn't upstairs and that I needed help with the food, he looked at me and told me to come outside with him, I was pretty reluctant but finally gave in and stepped outside. I followed him out to the backyard (which was covered in snow) and noticed an aisle of rose petals that led up to an area where he had placed all our pictures together in frames and candles surrounding it, I was shocked, and speechless. He asked me to be his wife, his forever and I cried and said YES! It was magical
