In the Beginning

As with any typical love story... When Cynthia and Jason first met he was already married, however, the saying, “Love always finds a way,” is more true in this story than most. As it were, Cynthia and Jason worked together at the Portland International Airport. Jason transferred to PDX in May of 2016 and a work friendship was immediate, as they worked together of several projects and programs. Cynthia and Jason shared a love to laugh and prank people in the office place... oh and professionalism, dedication, and so forth. In the summer of 2018, things were in motion that could not be undone and the spark turned into a flame (insert Wick pun here). Needless to say Cynthia and Jason are like peanut butter and jelly one sweet and one chunky but both work so well together.

Will you?

The big question and the even bigger question, how to propose. With Jason it was never a question of if but rather when to propose. For those of you who may not know, Cynthia is an inquisitive creature, always watching, wondering, and asking. Needless to say, sneaking off to buy a ring and setup up a surprise was a tall order. As Jason and Cynthia were expecting their little bundle of Jaxon, there was a planned maternity shoot. This is when Jason saw his opportunity. He snuck out of work early to buy the ring and raced to Cynthia’s mother’s house to ask permission to marry her one and only daughter. With Carry’s blessing, Jason conspired with the photographer to pop the question. While all plans sound perfect in theory, the wind had plans of it’s own that day. Jason’s beard was seemingly unaffected, however, Cynthia’s hair paid a costly price. As we know, emotions of a pregnant woman hardly ever play a part in these situations... having said that the plan was nearing failure early on in the shoot. Once they moved to the second location, a calm came over the couple and Jason seized the moment. While Cynthia was staring off in the distance looking like a majestic unicorn glowing with radiant beauty (see picture below). Jason took a knee behind her and asked the question of all questions. Shocked and surprised, Cynthia reluctantly said yes... “happily”...she happily said yes and now here we are!
