It was at a mutual friend’s birthday party that I first met Adam, thanks to our friend Isela, who insisted we take the dance floor. The dancing was, of course, the highlight—Adam’s unconventional, goofy, uncoordinated moves had me laughing from the start. But it wasn’t just his dance style that left an impression. It was the way he made sure everyone got home safely that truly caught my attention. His thoughtful gesture earned him my number—and from that moment, not a day passed without our correspondence, which swiftly transformed into something far more delightful—our first date. That evening was an exchange of discovery as we moved from emojis and typed words to the rich, full experience of in-person conversation. How thrilling it was to uncover shared tastes in books, music, and art—each revelation felt like unbeknownst to us; we had been tied together with an invisible string. By the second date, I was stunned by the thoughtful date that Adam had arranged, and if possible, the words exchanged, and the stolen glances had me asking him, if we could make it official, and he immediately agreed. Since that moment, our relationship has felt something like an exhilarating ride—an upward journey, full of both the peaks and valleys of life. We have shared in one another’s joys and sorrows, from the more trying moments to the happiest of achievements. Slowly, as time passed, we learned the small, sometimes amusing details of each other's habits, likes, and dislikes—Adam's love for sweets and baking talents, to my specific arrangement of books, from Adam's ear to ear grin when he thinks he might be in trouble to my insistence of a proper breakfast and spices in my food. And through it all, we’ve found endless reasons to laugh with each other’s families, feeling a quiet gratitude for the very existence of the other. We have embarked on countless adventures, both grand and small, each one unforgettable in its own way. And throughout all our discussions of the future—plans, dreams, and hopes—we are filled with a joyful anticipation for this very day. We are, beyond measure, thankful to our families and friends for their love and support, and we are truly delighted to share this special day with them as we begin our greatest adventure yet—life together in Idaho, as husband and wife.
