We know this is on everyone’s mind! There are many reasons as to why we chose to have our wedding in Vietnam instead of the U.S. Vietnam is deeply connected to our roots and ancestors. Returning to marry in the land our parents once had to leave is a beautiful way to transform their journey from one of fear and loss into love and celebration. Second, our loved ones are spread across the U.S., Canada, Vietnam, and more. Those of us in the West have more freedom and resources to travel, while many of our family members in Vietnam would not be able to visit the U.S. for our wedding. We considered hosting celebrations in both Colorado and Vietnam, but realized that a single destination wedding was the best choice for us. It allows us to focus on creating an one wonderful experience while bringing together as many of our loved ones as possible. That being said, we completely understand if you cannot make it although we would love for everyone to be there. A destination wedding is not feasible for everyone, and we have to come to terms with that. No matter what, we appreciate your love and support! ❤️
We want to make it as easy as possible for all our loved ones to be there. We will be covering accommodations and transportation during your stay on our wedding dates. The main expense you will need to plan for is your flight to Vietnam.
You can start booking your flights now! One great thing about having our wedding in Vietnam in March is that it falls after Tết (Vietnamese Lunar New Year), meaning flights will not be at peak-season prices. For the best fares, we recommend booking 4–7 months in advance because this is when airlines typically release their lowest prices for international flights.
You’ll need a valid passport and a visa. For more details, please visit our Travel & Stay page.
If you would like to bring a plus one we may not be aware of, please let us know and we can make arrangements. Otherwise, we kindly ask that you bring only the guest(s) listed on your invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!
For guests arriving in Ho Chi Minh City before our wedding, we are planning a pre-wedding outing and celebration on March 12th. If you are in HCMC a little early, join us for an evening of exploring a bit of nightlife, enjoying good food, experiencing local culture!
Children are welcome only if their names are included on the invitation.
