Cyle and I met at a shooting range... ! Cyle and I met at Cordova Shooting Center in December of 2015. While no one would be surprised to find Cyle at a gun range, most would wonder how in the world I came to be at a shooting range that day- and to that I would say, "It was Heather's idea!" It was a few days after Christmas, and my sister Heather wanted to treat my brother Chris and I to a day at the shooting range, thinking it would be a fun way for us to hang out together. I was totally reluctant to go, and my mom told me that Heather suspected this and offered to get me a pedicure as an alternative. Not wanting to be a wimp, I agreed to go. I immediately regretted my decision when I stepped out of the car, because all I could hear and feel was the booming of gun shots!! "What am I doing here?" Then.... we walked into the center... and I saw Cyle. When Chris saw Cyle, he brought him to my attention as if I had not noticed him already. I said something like "I know, I saw him. You can get his number for me." Then Chris said, "Shan, are you going to marry him?" and I said, "Yeah." Heather, Chris and I shot shotguns and hand guns that day and when we were ready to leave, I told Heather and Chris I needed my number before we left. Since neither of them would get it for me, I had to do what I had to do. I went back into the center and found Cyle, and with an audience watching, I asked him for his number. After waiting for a response that seemed like an eternity, he smiled and gave me his number. And that's how we met!
