This is the most famous BBQ in Austin (and often cited as a top BBQ place in Texas). You have to get up early and wait in line to get it, but BBQ aficionados will attest: it's worth the wait!

Franklin Barbecue

This is a fun brewery and ranch out in Texas hill country. They serve great beer, make fantastic food (BBQ and pizza), and have stunning views of the Texas countryside.

Jester King Brewery

We got engaged at Hotel San Jose. We really like this spot for cocktails, swimming, and taking in Austin!

Hotel San José

This is a spot one of our favorite places for beers, trivia, and hanging out with friends. Their menu is mostly TexMex. There are two locations. We frequent the one on Airport Boulevard because it's in our neighborhood, but there's another one more centrally located at 1902 East 6th.
