We can't wait to celebrate with you!

I had been praying for a year that the Lord would bring me the right man to marry. However, I didn't want to be on the dating apps anymore (it's exhausting!). I asked my friends to intentionally pray with me that the Lord would work. Fast forward to August 2025. I hadn't been on Instagram in over a year, but decided it was time to get back on. So many people kept telling me that they met their boyfriends/husbands on Instagram, so I can't lie about the fact that was on my mind. I opened up the app and forgot about an account I followed that was a Christian matchmaking account (shout out to Kelly Stamps!!!). I was just scrolling my feed and up popped this cute Indian guy. I looked at the post and made a silly comment about having Indian friends and loving learning about their culture. I wanted to know more about how he came to know Jesus. He liked my comment so, naturally, I requested to follow him. Then I DM'd him asking him what the heck his instagram handle meant. After a few days of messaging, he decided to shoot his shot and ask me for a video call (he lived in NYC). I said I would like to and we set it up. During this time, I kept thinking "This is a waste of my time. He lives in NYC, this won't go anywhere." But after our first video call, I kept telling my friends, "This just feels different this time. He is really wonderful." After just a week, Melwin asked me to be his girlfriend, and 2 and a half weeks later he came to visit me in Arkansas. The whole time he visited me in Arkansas, I was a complete nervous wreck. But Melwin was cool as a cucumber and so supportive of me even while feeling so nervous. By the end of the weekend, I knew I really liked this guy. A week or two later we told each other we loved each other, and the rest is history!

I felt a strong desire to get married when I turned 27 in 2020. I started searching for potential matches and speaking with them, but nothing ever worked out. I asked a few of my friends to pray for me during this search for a life partner. Over the years, I thought it may not happen and almost gave up. Last year, one of my friends told me about Kelly Stamps and her page for Christian singles. During the summer of last year, Kelly put up my post on that page, and Cydney reached out to me after a week. She asked me, ‘So what’s the story behind Bavarian chocolate as an Instagram name?’ I said it’s my favorite ice cream from Baskin-Robbins. We started having a few conversations on sports and our lives and decided to connect over a video call to speak and see if we have similar values and life goals. Turns out, we had a lot of things in common. I found Cydney to be very pretty and thought of asking her if she would be interested in being my girlfriend. She said yes, and I was very happy to see how God brought us both together from afar. I observed that as we were dating, Cydney was very supportive of me, encouraging me through the scriptures, and saying the Lord knows and He will provide. I was very happy to hear it from her and thought to myself that I really love her!
