Our story began in April 2023 with a swipe on the ever-notorious Hinge app. From the very beginning, we were both honest, intentional, and clear about what we were looking for—something we like to believe led us straight into each other’s algorithm. Our first date turned into a very long one. Somewhere between great conversation and shared laughs, Idunnu nervously spilled a drink on Cydnee (a moment that somehow made things even better). That night, we discovered just how much we had in common—from working in sales, to coming from big families with strong values, to a shared appreciation for the finer things in life. And of course, we bonded over being proud homebodies: Cydnee loves to cook, and Idunnu loves to eat—an arrangement that worked perfectly from day one. From that first date on, something simply felt right. Over the next two and a half years, we built a relationship grounded in friendship, romance, communication, and mutual respect—the foundation of everything we are today. In November 2025, Idunnu surprised Cydnee in Los Angeles with an engagement that was as thoughtful and personal as our journey together. It marked the beginning of our next chapter, one we are so excited to share. We can’t wait to celebrate our love, our story, and the future we’re building together—including the expansion of our family.
