FAQs

If you have any additional questions that aren't listed below, please feel free to contact Kaitlyn or Chris.
Question

Where is the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be at St. Peter the Apostle Church in Reading, PA at 1:00pm. The cocktail hour and reception will be later on at Stokesay Castle starting at 4:30PM. Guests will be allowed to arrive to the venue starting at (TBD). There is a gap between the ceremony and reception, so feel free to go to the hotel in between, hang out with other guests, or go grab coffee! Thank you for being understanding of the gap as we will be using this time to take photos, so we can join you during cocktail hour.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

We are asking everyone to arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to the ceremony. We would love for everyone to have time to get settled in before we walk down the aisle. Please note that St. Peter's has limited lot parking, with the alternative of additional street parking. We recommend carpooling with other guests if possible or using our reserved transportation services, especially if you're staying at the hotel.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are only able to accommodate the guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outside?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place indoors. The cocktail hour will be both indoors and outside weather permitted.

Question

What is the best way to let you know about dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please contact Kaitlyn or Chris directly as soon as possible if you have any concerns about allergies. You can also leave us a note when RSVPing with your allergy listed.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Of course! The drinks are on us as long as you're on the dance floor!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We are excited to continue the celebration post the reception at the Cheers Bistro in The Double Tree by Hilton for our after party! You do not need to RSVP for this event, but we hope to see you there for some snacks and cash bar!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting a cocktail dress code. This means ladies may wear long or short evening dresses in any color, except shades of white/cream, and men may wear a suit and tie.

Question

Will there be any transportation to and from the hotel?

Answer

Yes! Transportation to/from the ceremony and reception will be reserved for guests booked through our hotel block at The DoubleTree by Hilton (the final day to book through this hotel block is 04/24/2025). Please visit the "Travel & Accommodations" tab to find the schedule of shuttles and motorcoach throughout the day.

Question

Any suggestions on where to go the night before the wedding for dinner?

Answer

A couple suggestions for you - - Mimmo's Italian restaurant is where our private rehearsal dinner will be held and the food is great! - Austin's Restaurant & Bar is great if you're looking for an American cuisine. - Cheers American Bistro can be found in the hotel. - If you're curious to check out the venue reception ahead of time, Stokesay Castle has a pub called The Knight's Pub that has good food too.
