We were camping in Savannah, GA for the weekend on vacation with my family. Brett and my dad left to go pick up some fire wood, and it seemed like it was taking them forever! We finally went down to check on them, and arrived at a grassy field overlooking the water. It was around sunset, and as I walked up I could see a trail of lights and rose petals leading to the middle of the field where Brett stood smiling widely. When I reached him, he took my hand and then got down on one knee and asked if I would do him the honor of marrying him. Of course at first I was completely in shock, but then I quickly shouted YES! I was so overwhelmed with the excitement of getting to spend the rest of my life with this incredible man. Our families were so very happy for us! I couldn't stop staring at the ring for the rest of the night, or since then for that matter!
