Wedding Party

Peter and Cheryl Curtis

Parents of the Bride

Greg and I are so lucky to both have the best parents! Despite living thousands of miles apart, my parents remain my biggest advocates, role models and support system. There isn’t a day that goes by that we don't call, text or chat. While some people think I’m like my mom, and others my dad, I think I am the perfect mix of them both. I learned my strong-will, drive, independent spirit and maybe some organizational skills from my mom. From my dad, his temperament, teasing nature, humor, love of NPR and the signature Curtis nose. I am so lucky to have been raised by two people who taught me there is nothing in this world I couldn’t do. They also taught me how wonderful marriage is. After 35 years, my parents are best friends and life partners which is something Greg and I will do, too.

Joe and Paula Carroll

Parents of the Groom

I am so lucky to have my parents, who aren’t only the most loving parents to their children, grandchildren and to Brittany and Hannah, but they are the best example of what love should be. They have been married for forty years, and much like Hannah and I, they are best friends. My mom is the absolute sweetest person on earth and is so loving and caring that it is almost hard to keep up with! She would do legitimately anything for you, and is someone who will make you laugh, cry and make you an overall better person. My dad, AKA Jumpin Joe, is pretty cool...I mean, come on look at that head of hair! While growing up my dad was my coach, teacher, and taught me my now most important lesson, how to be a great man and husband. I cannot wait to celebrate with them on the big day!

Kim Parkes

Officiant

Where to start? Uncle Kim is Hannah's uncle and Greg's best friend (haha). Kim came into the Curtis family when Hannah was just five years old. Apparently this loud, boisterous New Zealander brought Hannah out of her shell while growing up. Fast forward... Kim is more than an Uncle or a friend, he is someone who we both love immensely not only because he is charismatic, but because he is such a role model personally and in a relationship. He has taught us both about the importance of life and love and we are grateful for his guidance and humor. He is marrying us because he instills the meaning of marriage, love and true happiness.

Emma Chrystal

Maid of Honor

Emma the "natch" has been one of my best friends since we met in college! For over ten years she has been my right hand lady, the corner to my curves, my partner in crime, and the girl who is ALWAYS there through the ups and downs. She is the person I have always looked up to for guidance, advice and direction and someone who ALWAYS has the right thing to say. Em is authentically genuine, thoughtful and caring and loves her friends and family hard. You can't ask for a better friend. There are no words that quite express how grateful I am to have her friendship -- and feel even more lucky that we're embarking on this next chapter of life together (hi Donk)!!

Caitlin Hardage

Matron of Honor

I remember meeting Cait for the first time before pre-season in August 2008 at our teammates house where she was actively practicing volleyball rotations in the living room -- at first, this shy Alaskan gal was a bit scared of Cait, the fiery, beautiful California babe. Clearly that didn't last too long!! Cait and I quickly became the closest of friends playing volleyball together, living together and taking classes together. Despite living on separate coasts, Cait is the definition of a best friend. She is endlessly supportive, always has your back and from time-to-time will put your new boyfriend through the ringer to prove he is the real deal (I guess he passed the test)! Cait is one-of-a-kind and the best of the best...I am so lucky to have her by my side!!

Kallie Donley

Bridesmaid

As proof by our matching high school graduation dresses (and not knowing each other), we were meant to be friends! I remember the first time meeting Kal at College Ave gym, (for those who know Kal this makes totally makes sense), she was wearing an over-sized, homemade tie-dye shirt, ponytail on the side of her head and just the happiest human in all the world. As you can imagine, we instantly became the closest of friends where we mapped out our future lives at Brower, weeknight dinner dates or at Division Street. Kal is more than a friend, she is basically a sister. She is the most devote, loving and caring person you will meet. After being by her side in 2015, I am so excited to have her by my side come July!!

Brittany Carroll

Bridesmaid

Britt is my friend, future sister-in-law and Greg's brother's wife! Britt and I first met in the fall of 2016 when Greg introduced me to his brother and sister-in-law at a Charlestown restaurant. For Greg, meeting Britt and Brett was a big step in our relationship. After meeting Britt for a few minutes at dinner it soon felt like we had known each other forever and knew we were on the same page (these Carroll boys are a handful). I am lucky to have seen Britt become a mother to Lincoln and Emelyn and she does it with ease and beauty. I am so lucky to have her by my side and in my life!

Brett Carroll

Best Man

Brett is my older brother and have known him since 1987. I have been lucky enough to have an older brother that is not only my best friend, but someone who I have looked up to forever. He has always pushed me to be my best, whether it comes to sports, school, or work. Brett currently lives down the street from us in Charlestown, but as we are both moving out of the city, and we may be a bit further from each other, we will always find time to enjoy a beer and hang out. Hannah and I think Brett is one of the funniest people going…but I was Brett’s Best Man back in 2011…will he be able to keep up with the best Best Man speech ever? We will find out July 20th…

Mike Giglio

Groomsman

Mike, aka Gigs, is my older cousin. Even though we are 6 years apart in age, he has always treated me like I was not his younger cousin, but one of his friends. His friends became my friends and have enjoyed so many good times together. Mike is like a brother to me, and have had countless laughs, talks, and at one time, worked together and made a few deals! Mike is a great role model, Seinfeld encyclopedia, and always supported me in my life. He is a great dad, influence, and has the best laugh (per the vote of Reading Memorial High School 1999 superlatives).

Phil Kim

Groomsman

Phil has been my best friend since 1st grade in Mrs. Lazzarino’s class. Apparently, according to Phil, I walked up to him and asked him to be my friend the first week of class. I guess it has worked out pretty well. Phil and I played hockey together growing up, and all the way through high school. We had countless goal celebrations both in the driveway, and on the ice (maybe not countless, but a few…) Phil has always been someone I’ve looked up to (even though I look down at him) and although he has been in New York City since college, he and I have always made a point to see each other whenever possible and still laugh together like we are playing MASH on Burton Farm Drive.

Andrew Frates

Groomsman

Andrew, Drew, Andy, Frato, Beano…whatever he goes by, he will be there for you. Andrew was my best friend and roommate in college. We lived together after college in Charlestown, and have had countless good times together in the dorm room, apartment, and softball field. A leader at heart, Andrew has always been there for me, and is a crucial reason as to why I am the person I am today. I couldn’t imagine my wedding day without him by my side, and can’t wait until he is the Mayor of Beverly, MA in 2035.

Austin Gilbert

Groomsman

Austin has been one of my best friends since middle school (once Austin decided private elementary school wasn’t for him…or maybe he got kicked out, we’re still not sure). Austin and I played baseball and hockey together, yard ball in his back yard, and threw countless parties together at his house…(they were at his house, but I would take credit for them.) One of, if not the most fun/annoying people you’ll ever meet, Austin is the best, and a great host when you visit him at his house in Tampa. Glad he will be there getting the party started…hopefully keeping his shirt on.

Will Curtis

Groomsman

The future Uncle Will, UW, is Hannah’s older brother. Will and I met at Fenway Park for a playoff Red Sox game when he visited Hannah from Alaska and won him over by buying him a Fenway Frank. It happened to be David Ortiz’s last game as a Red Sox, but it was the start of a great new friendship. Will and I have got along since day one, and enjoy banter about sports, his wild story of being rescued by a helicopter in the Alaskan mountains (I recommend asking him about it, it actually is wild) and am so happy that he will be my future brother-in-law.

Lincoln

Ring Bearer

Our cute nephew Lincoln will be our ring bearer! He is so freaking cute and we love him so much...he might steal the show on July 20th. He loves Digger, Dump, choo-choos, and Peppa Pig, but he definitely loves his Uncle and Auntie.

For all the days along the way
