Back Story - Curtis and I had already talked about getting married the summer of 2020 and I had been pestering Curtis about what his plan was or when he was going to propose for a little while and every time he would calmly tell me to continue to be patient that the plan would unveil itself at the right time... anywho... Cut to the morning of July 4th we were talking about what we wanted to do. Curtis mentioned maybe going to check out the festivities in Bethany and walk around Lake Hefner. I agreed, we got ready and headed out. Unfortunately, we missed the parade in Bethany so we went to Lake Hefner and Curtis took me to a nice lunch at Mama Roja's Mexican Kitchen then we took a walk down the lake to the cute little lighthouse they have. We sat and just enjoyed the day and the sound of the water hitting the rocks. Curtis started talking all sweet and for a minute I was like "this is it, he's going to propose!" and then he says... "Things are really good and I really hope we can continue down this path." So I'm like "Oh, yeah." and so I ask... "what's your plan. I mean Christmas is come and gone, and next Christmas would be too close to next summer. My Birthday is come and gone, Valentine's Day- Come and gone. Do you have a plan? Does anybody know the plan? Cause I'm planning a wedding and it would make it a little easier if we were actually engaged." and while I was continueing to blabber on and on, Curtis got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, my first response was "Are you serious?" "For reals?" I thought he was just messing around and doing it cause I was throwing my little tantrum and then he pulled out the ring and said Yes, I'm serious and asked me again. I, of course, said YES!!!
Once upon a time on August 22, 2017 I (Rachel) was sitting on my couch at home just watching t.v. (most likely Snapped) and I had a thought- *it's time, you need to put yourself back out there* I quickly reminded that thought of the disasters that were my past couple relationships and said, Not Happening! A few minutes later there I was entering my information on Match.com (I sure showed that thought who was boss) Since I was so convinced decent men no longer existed I paid for 6 months upfront so I could get the next 6 months free. As soon as I finished the profile set up page it took me to page of suggested matches. There in the middle of the page was a picture of a handsome man with the most inviting eyes, something said, he is the reason you're on here. I quickly chuckled and said "NOPE. BigC_925 with those eyes, you are trouble. Nope" But it seemed every search I did BAM! BigC_925 was there. So I said, not today! And I closed my laptop and went to bed. The next morning I opened the website and there staring at me was the handsome man with the eyes and again I got the impression, he's why your here. And it appeared my pictures had peeked his interest as he had liked a few of them. Again and more strongly I felt BigC_925 was supposed to play a role in my story so I sent a message asking him what exciting stuff he had going on that day. When he responded that he had just finished a grueling game of badminton I knew, this one was different. From that moment it seemed we were in some form of constant communication. About a week after we started talking we went on our first date. Dinner, and then we played pool. When I got in my car that night I knew, it was him and I thanked the Lord for pushing me towards BigC_925. We've been pretty inseparable since that day and I can't wait to officially become Mrs. BigC.
