FAQs

For those who love to plan, or have no idea what is going on...here's a list of the most common questions we've had leading up to the big day!
Question

Is the Wedding and Reception at the same venue?

Answer

Yes! All festivities on Friday are at the same venue (The Estate on the Halifax)

Question

How should I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

Parking is available at the venue, for those who want to (safely) drive themselves to and from the evening. Lyft & Uber are prevalent in the area as well.

Question

When should I get to the Venue on Friday?

Answer

Please join us at 4:30pm for a welcome cocktail and to mix and mingle under the oak tree before the ceremony starts! For those who prefer cutting it close, please arrive no later than 4:50pm as we will start our ceremony promptly at 5:00pm (and we will notice you sneaking in the back) 😉

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Dress your best, without looking like you've stepped out of Downton Abbey! We want everyone to feel the best, but also still be comfortable and ready to move it and shake it later in the night. While this is an outdoor ceremony (weather permitting) the seating will be in a shaded area along the Halifax River. Expect pleasant temperatures and a light breeze during the evening. Cocktail hour will be in the gardens and Dinner and Reception will be held indoors at The Tavern. Please no shorts, casual wear, or beach wear.

Question

Can I come early or bring anything to help?

Answer

This one is for you family...you know who you are...😅 The most important part of our wedding is celebrating the things we love, with the people we love. And we both love a stress-free day. We've already got all the helping hands we need, so please take that extra time to enjoy a relaxed afternoon and get ready for an amazing evening!

Question

"Hey ma, what's for dinner ma?"

Answer

Get ready to enjoy a wonderful buffet style dinner, featuring Cesar salad, brick fired pizzas made fresh onsite, and delicious baked goods from some of our favorite local joints! We will have gluten free, dairy free, and vegan pizza options available. If you did not respond with a dietary restriction on your RSVP (or cannot remember if you did), please feel free to reach out to Devin or Curtis to make sure we've got you taken care of! And of course...liquid dinner consisting of some of your favorite adult (and booze free) beverages throughout the night.
