Curtis and I saw each other at work a few times, but always from a distance. I worked nights and he worked days, so for years it was just brief glances. After three years and several shift changes, I was finally able to get a day shift. It was Gods plan that with my new schedule he was my relief. I remember pulling up to the bus stop, and there he was. Tall, dark, and handsome. He greeted me with a soft smile and said, “hey, how are you?” Something about that smile and that voice had me hooked. I guess you can say he had me at hello. The first conversation was simple, easy, and, comfortable, but there was an undeniable connection. The second conversation ended with him saying I would be his wife. He pursued me (perfectly, might I add) for several months, and well the rest is history. Here we are a few years later, with our perfect blended family. Planning the happiest day of our lives. The day we take our vows before God, and our family and friends. Happy endings do exist and I guess that old saying holds true “when you know, you know.”
