This will be an everlasting love

Online dating can be horrendous, but t'was not the case for this couple. They met on a mobile application, and it was an instant attraction! Now we've all heard how it goes online; guy meets guy, guy hooks up with guy, guys never see each other again, and we all swipe left. However, it appears their fairy-tale had something much more permanent in store, and life has been an adventure ever since. With Wayne living in Tennessee at the time, and Curtis in Virginia, they talked for well over 2 months before experiencing a physical embrace. Hours upon hours of video chats, and long ( but oh so lovely) phone conversations led to a spark neither one of them could deny. Wanting a date like no other, Curtis and Wayne took a 4-day cruise to initiate their First Date! Their friends of course said they were crazy! Neither one truly knowing the other, but willing to take a risk for what they both felt was perfect. Standing in Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International holding a sign labeled "Butterbean", a pet-name Curtis had so smoothly given Wayne weeks before. This was it, he was meeting his future husband! "Sweating, and nervous, I stood there as a tall, handsome, white-bearded man made his way down the terminal towards me." They hugged, laughed and began an adventure. Apparently, spending a week together exploring culinary pleasures in Cozumel, and lounging on white sandy beaches in sunny Florida can bring out the best in a person, because the two made it Facebook official before returning to separate lives in the states. On March 29th, 2017 the two proudly entered an exclusive relationship. It was the PERFECT match from day one! It wasn't too long after that Wayne decided to take the plunge into co-habitation, and moved 628 miles from Chattanooga, Tennessee to Carrollton, Virginia. "We both knew it was love at first sight, and as cliché as that may sound, it's something we cherish day in and out; NEVER neglecting to remind each other of the great love we mutually share."

On a crisp September evening, during a seemingly normal photography session, Curtis decided to bend the knee for his special man. Unbeknownst to Wayne, this had been in the works for weeks, and Curtis literally spent every waking hour crafting the perfect proposal. From personally designing the sapphire and diamond accented engagement band, to locating the PERFECT location; as far as Wayne knew, it was business as usual...another 5,000 photos to accompany their existing 6,500. Wayne is truly a "one-of-a-kind" individual, and Curtis knew he couldn't fathom spending life with any other person from the moment they met. "My Butterbean had always been under the impression that HE would have to "pop the question"', however, Wayne's beautiful blue eyes, now tear-filled held a mist of joy when he realized what was actually happening. As they sat by the fountain in the beautiful gardens of the Chrysler Museum of Art, Wayne read a book (thinking it was simply a photo prop) that Curtis secretly had published detailing his love for him. On the final page, Wayne was tasked with the fulfillment of a special request; on bent knee, Curtis asked the man of his dreams to share a life forever. Wayne said...YES!

Life is an ever changing obstacle, and due to the nature of the universe, disorder increases as time goes on. Originally set for the 8th of August 2018, Curtis and Wayne planned their "Perfect Day". "The number 8 is lucky, and held an infinite symbolism for us"...but Hurricane Maria devastated the island of Puerto Rico, and the couples gorgeous venue along with it. In resilience, the two put their heads together to reset perfection, and decided to marry seaside at the beautiful Hilton Garden Inn, providing a more intimate setting to share with their closest family and friends.
