It didn’t start with fireworks or grand gestures. We met at the gym, a place usually filled with (pink) headphones, routines, and unspoken rules about keeping to yourself. But, one day Curt sparked a conversation. What started as small talk about workouts and the usual gym things, slowly became something more familiar. We became part of each other’s routine, not just in the gym, but in life. For a long time, we were just friends. It was in that friendship that something deeper took root. We built trust in the simplest ways- showing up, laughing easily, learning each other. We got to know each other without the noise, without the expectations. By the time love arrived, it didn’t feel like a leap, it felt like the most natural next step. Somewhere along the way, friendship turned into something undeniable. Now, we share more than workouts and conversations. We share a home. A house filled not just with furniture, but with plans, projects, and memories (past and future). Renovating together isn’t always easy, but it reflects what we aspire our relationship to be: patient, committed, and everlasting. And then there’s Tucker- our constant companion, the heartbeat of our home. Whether it’s muddy paws after a long day or quiet moments on the couch, Tucker is woven into our story just as much as we are into each other’s. Our love isn’t about perfection or dramatic moments. It’s about the everyday things- the shared goals, the laughter in between, the comfort of knowing we chose each other after truly knowing each other first. What we built didn’t happen overnight.
