We matched on Tinder August Friday the 13th 2021. We didn't actually go on our first date until October 1st! I didn't believe she was real. We chatted a lot off and on between us matching and our first date. Realizing we had a lot in common. We were both Slytherin. We both collected Funko Pops. We both liked Horror and Halloween. We both loved Marvel. She told me she loved Disney but had never been to Disneyland. I told her we were going! We were making plans on what we wanted to do for our Disneyland trip before we even met in person. October 1st 2021 we went and saw Venom 2. As we sat in the theater talking before the movie started we realized we had a LOT in common. More than we first realized. Like weird in common. After the movie I wasn't getting the "do you want to still hang out" vibe. She was very quite on that first date. So I walked her to her car and we said good night. I text her and apologized if I was at all awkward. She said the same thing that she thought she was being too awkward. We agreed to re do the date and see if sparks flew. October 13th 2021 we went to Nightmare on 13th Haunted House. At this point we had 13 days of chatting and we had started using Marco Polo to send video messages. By the time date #2 came along we felt like we knew each other pretty well. She parked at the Wal0mart across the street so I met her at the cross walk. This time I knew it was different. We held hands all night. After the Haunted House I drove her to her car. We sat in the Wal-Mart parking lot until we had to go to work the next morning. Most of the time we were just listing to music and staring at each other. Seriously. For hours. Not saying anything. Just sat there and stared at each other. When it came time to say good night/morning we hugged goodbye. It was the hug to end all hugs. From that moment on we just knew this is where we would end up. I think we said we knew we were going to get married by our third date. Disneyland! I had a Disneyland season pass when we took our first trip to Disneyland for Valentines Day (Feb 13th 2022). We had only been dating since October. Our first trip together as a couple was a road trip to Disneyland. Also, did you know Disneyland's address is 1313? At the end of that trip Makayla had decided to upgrade her 3 day pass to a season pass. We went 6 trips that year and a total of 15 days. Every time we would go Makayla would point to Walt's lamp above the Fire House and say "One day. One day we will go into that apartment!". Walt Disney had an apartment he used while at the park. It is in the exact condition Walt Left it when he passed away. On the 5th trip (October 13th), we got engaged! I had been going back and forth on how I would propose and where. I knew I wanted to do it at Disneyland since it became such a big part of our relationship. About a week before our trip they announce they were opening up tours of Main Street that ended with a tour of Walt's apartment. I didn't hesitate. I booked it that day. I talked to the tour guide in private and when the time came I popped the question in front of the lamp we had looked up at every single time. This time from inside the room. That was our 13th day going to Disneyland together.
