Gloria is truly the Salt of the Earth!! Stop by at any time of the summer and pick up whatever perennials are in bloom! The prices are unbelievable. You will take home a full 3-5 gallon size plant for $4.00- $12.00. If there are none under the tent, jump on a golf cart with Gloria and go dig one up! So far, I have been unable to find a Wisconsin Perennial that Gloria does not have! She and her family are the most kind and helpful people you could meet. With 20 acres, you will find exactly what your looking for!!!
If you are looking for the strange and wonderful, drive down U.S. 12 to Dr. Evermor's "Art Park," home of the largest scrap metal sculptures in the world and see the Forevertron. Photos don't do this place justice, and certainly do not do justice to the incredible imagination of the sculptor. it is beyond anyone's expectation. You will see an amazing collection of scrap metal birds, a baseball game, bugs the size of my home! this place is not well marked, and may appear to be closed, walk through it anyway! They do not mind! They love to share it with the world!!! Look for the sign for Delaney's Surplus, then take the next driveway, which is somewhat hidden. It is often closed, and people walk through it anyway. This is a park and its free, however donations are welcome! This place should be much more famous than it is!!! Don't confuse it with the junk behind Delaneys which is a pickers dream. If you are not wowwed by art you havent found it yet!
Mirror lake is just 3 miles from our home! Curt and I love to rent canoes or Kayaks and paddle Mirror Lake. With space for only one picture, you will have to see the incredible views for yourself! It is an amazing place! We used to bring the kids here to camp and the whole family loved it! Now, we are just around the Corner!
