If it's hot, we have some great swimming holes just near the Middlebury College Snow Bowl, at the base of the Middlebury Gap. Great for fishing too!

The town of Middlebury has a great picnicking spot by the falls. Star of the summer time, and photo fan favorite - is the big yellow chair!
Mount Abraham (Vermont)
At the crest of Lincoln Gap, the long trail intersects the road. This is a major hike! Plan for 4 hours out and back.
