Kyle and Sara are high school sweethearts. Freshman year, they met and became friends in an engineering program at their school. Their Junior year, Kyle had the courage to ask Sara to the Homecoming Dance. That bravery led to a lifelong partnership. They continued dating and eventually were both ASU (Arizona State University) students and now alumni. Kyle and Sara agreed to wait until after college graduation to move forward with getting married. Then Sara extended her education with a two-year Master's program. Kyle, eager to surprise Sara, began planning the proposal within the first year of her program. To ensure success with the proposal, Kyle teamed up with one of Sara's closest friends to help with the engagement ring selection. With ring in tow, Kyle visited Sara's mom, Linda, to ask permission to marry her daughter (She approved). Kyle had both his mom and Sara's mom keep the ring a secret for almost three months before he could coordinate the perfect time to propose. He surprised Sara with the ring on November 9th, 2024 in front of the beautiful Papago Park Buttes. The wedding date, February 28, 2026, marks eight and half years since Kyle asked Sara to that first homecoming dance. They are excited to continue to build a life together.
