Wedding Postponed

I was first introduced to Colleen when I was headed to the library to study- she caught my attention, laying on the grass, star-gazing with a mutual friend (thanks, Austin)! We slowly became friends and after many nights out with friends and romantic gestures on my end, we began dating. However, fate was not on our side at the time and Colleen moved away to the Philippines. Several years later and after Colleen moving back from Tanzania, we both found ourselves in San Francisco. On a drunken night out, I turned to Colleen and said "I've never slow danced before." The rest is history.

On the first night of a camping trip through Arizona, Mike was acting oddly- he was quiet, jittery, and asked me if I would hang out in the tent so he could "get something." I thought that he was going to surprise me with a nice bottle of wine, but when he asked me to come out of the tent, he was on one knee with candles and rose petals all around him. He had the goofiest, biggest grin on his face and I could not stop saying "I am so overwhelmed." Eventually, I was able to get "YES" out and Mike produced a bottle of champagne for us to cheers with. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Spokane!

Frankly, we just couldn't wait any longer to be married! We snuck back to California to celebrate with our immediate families in a responsible way, but we missed you all! We sincerely hope to celebrate with you all soon! Hoping for 2021!
