At Casa Coneja, our olive farm. This is a fully outdoor wedding: the ceremony is in a field, brunch reception is under the trees, and there will be some outdoor seating areas for folks to socialize while staying physically distant. Sanitization stations will be posted around the property. Unless you are a resident though we ask that you do not enter the house for any reason
Everyone is welcome to camp on the property starting at 3pm on Friday afternoon. Sunset is at 6:20pm and it gets DARK out there so we encourage folks to arrive earlier, in particular if they are setting up a tent. Please arrive before 9pm as we want folks to be able to get some sleep so everyone is rested and ready for the revelry in the morning. If you don't want to camp there are a number of AirBnBs in town and a bunch of generic but totally adequate hotels in the Town of Ukiah. We will be providing a shuttle back to town so everyone can celebrate safely. You car will be fine overnight and we will have someone run into town to collect the drivers the next day to come collect their vehicles. We do ask that you stay in the town of Ukiah and not further out.
As many as *45* including the photographer but we do not expect everyone to attend.
We have lots of space and everything is outdoors so it will be easy to keep your distance from folks outside of your pod and still have fun. Seating for brunch will be organized by pod and we are being extremely careful in how we are combining various pods. If you feel like you need more space there will be lots of room and a variety of furnished seating areas for folks to spread out. If you have a specific concern, reach out to either us and we will work with you on how to make it the most comfortable and safe for you!
We are asking everyone attending to get tested during the week prior to the wedding, if it is possible for them to do so. In particular, we urge folks who have traveled by air in the last 14 days, are regularly leaving the house for work, working with the general public or regularly coming in contact with more than 12 people in the preceding 10 days to please get tested by Tuesday, Oct 20th so that you have the chance to get results back before the wedding just in case. There are a variety of testing centers that are free of charge in the bay area that we have looked into, and that Sam has used. Please let us know if finding a testing center poses a problem and we can send you some ideas!
We are super into 2020's biggest fashion item: Masks! Masks are recommended by the CDC when you are less than 6 feet of other people and inside. Luckily we have 40 acres of space for you to spread out and inside will not be accessed by people during the event. Masks will be available provided by the bride and groom's lovely sister in law (and officiant)! Masks will be required when getting food, you are getting a drink at the bar, or in the rest room. Please bring an extra mask and wear it whenever you are not able to socially distance, if you are socializing with folks outside your pod, or around people who are wearing a mask themselves. This is the primary way that guests can show other guests what their comfort and risk tolerance level is. If someone is wearing a mask please be mindful to keep your mask on and keep your distance. We're a community of honest and communicative people, so please feel comfortable asking someone to put a mask on if they are within 6 feet of you.
All food will be served by two of our lovely friends to minimize contact with serving utensils and potential transmission. These friends will be practicing safety measures with frequent hand-washing, gloves, and wearing masks. Drinks will be served by various friends who will also be practicing safety measures. There will be cup washing stations for self serve drinks later on in the day.
