Question

Arrival time?

Answer

We ask that guests arrive at the venue at 3:30pm. The Ceremony will begin at 4pm.

Traffic?

Answer

Yes! Unfortunately, given it's a Friday, please allow yourself 2 hours from the OC to Oceanside for traffic. But, what better way to spend a Friday?

When will I receive the invitation?

Answer

Invitations were mailed out on June 1st. If you have not received an invitation by August please reach out to our MOH (phone number listed above) as your invite likely got lost in the mail.

Ceremony & reception location?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are both at 'Botanica' Wedding Venue in Oceanside, CA. The exact address is: Botanica, 190 Wilshire Rd, Oceanside, CA 92057

Can I bring a date / how do I know if I get a +1?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget, so our wedding is RSVP only. We are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. The invitations will clearly state the names of invitees and/or if you get an additional "guest". Thank you for understanding!

Weather?

Answer

Oceanside weather in September is typically mid 70s to 80 degrees so dress accordingly. We are hoping for a nice ocean breeze in the evening.

Dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a dress shirt and slacks with an optional tie or sports coat.

RSVP Deadline?

Answer

The deadline is August 8th! Please RSVP online as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party and family will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests will head straight to cocktail hour where there will be appetizers, lawn games, a photo booth and of course beverages.

Indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both take place outdoors. The venue has paved walkways and turf grass so there will be no difficult terrain (feel free to wear heels if you want ladies). The venue is also wheelchair accessible.

hotel block?

Answer

We have a group rate at the Courtyard Oceanside on Seagate where most family and friends will be staying. The other hotel we recommend is the Holiday Inn Oceanside. Go to the "travel" page to view links to these hotels.

What if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Wedding theme?

Answer

There is no exact theme, but the decor of the wedding is a bit bohemian and retro.

Wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! The venue has paved walkways, turf grass, and handicapped bathrooms.

Kiddos?

Answer

As much as we love all of you and all of your mini you’s, this is an adults-only event and we kindly ask that you leave your kiddos at home and use this an excuse to get a sitter and enjoy a night out as a couple

Food & drinks?

Answer

Yes, there will be an open bar with signature cocktails, beer, and wine as well as a non-alcoholic refreshments bar. There will be appetizers during cocktail hour and dinner will be served family-style so you can just pick and choose what you want.

May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

Please take any flowers home with you but we kindly ask you leave the vases/decorations.
