As modern day as it could get, our love started with a simple right swipe on Tinder. I saw his profile, and knew I needed him in my life, so I swiped first. We messaged back & forth and got each other's Snapchats & phone numbers. There hasn't been a day since that we haven't spoken. As time went on, we talked about everything under the sun & really got to know each other, even though we were an hour and a half drive away from one another. On June 13, 2018 I finally made the drive up to his town in Cynthiana, KY (where we're soon to be married) to meet him in person for the first time. That's when he asked me to be his girlfriend & we started our journey together.
The 2nd year of our relationship, I spent a lot of time dropping hints, some not-so-subtle. I was sending him proposal videos, links to my favorite rings, any way I could drop hints, I did. Just the day before, it was Michael & I's 2 year anniversary, but we decided to celebrate it the next day. He told me to get ready & we would go out to dinner wherever I wanted. After about an hour of getting ready, I went downstairs where he was nervously awaiting me. Since he had completely thrown me off his trail over the past few weeks, I never would have guessed I was about to get engaged to my bestie. I grabbed my purse and was ready to hit the road. Maybe I was just ready for some yummy pasta. Michael slowed me down by taking the time to hug me and telling me how much he loved me. I had no idea what was going on, I just thought he was being sentimental. Then, with a proposal that matched our love, simple & sweet, he got down on one knee & the rest is history.
