Drew and I met while playing basketball. I was usually the only girl that showed up to play at the recreation department and at the time was unfamiliar with Drew. As luck would have it, we were picked to play on opposing teams, and during a fast break, Drew accidentally stepped on the back of my shoe, causing me to fall. Little did I know, that stumble would lead to falling for him every day thereafter. We playfully debate who made the first move, but he messaged me later that same day, apologizing for tripping me earlier. Our initial conversation was brief until I saw him months later in Lindale playing basketball against Pepperell. A frustrated foul caught my attention, and I thought, 'That's the guy who tripped me – he's cute!'. I messaged him that evening, advising him to keep his composure on the court (ironic, considering my playing style). The rest, as they say, is history. The impact of a single unexpected event forever changed the course of my entire life and truly was no accident at all.
