FAQS during COVID

In light of COVID and the changes we have all had to make, we wanted to let you know some additional steps we are taking to make sure that we are following local and national CDC guidlines
Question

What safety measures have you put in place?

Answer

There are many safety measures we have put in place in addition to what our venue has put in place. Here are some of the updates: -We will be extending the reception to encompass more of the beautiful outdoor space in addition to inside the barn. - Hand sanitizer will be available at every table, every entrance into the barn as well as various stations outside -Masks will be available but as of now in Virginia they are not required inside the facility or outside the facility. We encourage you to wear masks when you can however. - We will have UV sanitizing wands that will be used to help disinfect throughout our wedding -We will have chairs set up spaced 6 ft apart for our outdoor ceremony -We will have disposable plates, silverware and glasses -Food will be handled following current CDC guidelines -Seating will be 6 to a table and keeping as close to same household/close friends as possible -Servers and bartenders will be wearing masks and hand washing often

Question

What are COVID recommended guidelines?

Answer

If you are sick including a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, diarrhea, muscle aches or lost of taste/smell, have been exposed or have been around someone exposed to COVID within 72 hours of the event please let us know and stay home and stay healthy. In addition, please use your best judgement with it comes to the above. While there are many of these that do not mean COVID we would rather everyone stay safe and take precautions.

Question

What about your reception isn't it indoors?

Answer

Stover Hall is an amazing venue with a beautiful indoor reception barn and beautiful outdoor space with a view of the mountains! In light of COVID-19 and wanting to make sure we are not only adhering to the CDC recommendations but also making sure that all of our loved ones feel comfortable we have decided to make the reception run from inside the barn to outside on the lawn. We feel that this not only gives everyone an opportunity to enjoy themselves but also allows us to help do our part to create the safest event we can. Some things to know about our reception: -Barn doors will be propped opens -Several reception tables in addition to the cafe tables will be placed outside for those who wish to eat/sit outside -We will have the fire pit going and we will also have 2 outdoor heaters to help keep the chill off -There will be space for dancing, socializing and enjoying the time with friends and family Please bring a jacket, wrap or even a small throw once the sun sets.
