Inspired by their own front door, Eliza and Jake, designed their invitations to encapsulate the iconography of South Philadelphia histories. Their door, alongside many others in South Philly, was made by Arthur Tofani Jr. These doors are distinguished by their structural moulding and etched glass window panes. A common motif found on the windows of Arthur Tofani, Jr. Lumber & Millwork Doors is an etched star (as depicted on the inside of Eliza and Jake's invitation). Arthur Tofani, Jr. grew on South 8th Street, worked in his father's Lumber & Millwork business, and went to the University of Pennsylvania School of Architecture. He graduated in 1948 (around the same time as Eliza's grandfather). His and his partners' designs can be found throughout the Greater Philadelphia Area.
