The first night of freshman year, Maggie walked up to Robbie on the corner of State Street, asking for help finding the nearest bar. No one had a clue, but their friends clicked from the words “Hey, do you guys know where the Rat is?” They exchanged Snapchats and soon found themselves keeping up with each other’s whereabouts. After a year of being best friends, sophomore year arrived. In the very first week, Robbie asked Maggie to be his girlfriend. Though it took convincing, she decided to take the risk and said yes, turning their friendship into something more. They began their journey on a first date at a Thomas Rhett concert, an unforgettable night fueling a lifelong commitment of traveling far and wide to see their favorite artists. From there, they built a life full of countless memories. Whether it was touring the vineyards of Ithaca or trying the best burrito spot in San Diego, Maggie and Robbie embraced every adventure side by side. After graduating from Binghamton, Maggie and Robbie spent four years doing long distance in their respective grad schools, but their bond only grew stronger. They then moved into their first apartment together in Brookfield, Connecticut, a new area for a new adventure. Seven and a half years later, Robbie surprised Maggie with a proposal in Manchester, Vermont—marking the beginning of their next and newest chapter together.
