After fourteen hours in the air and three unforgettable nights in Bangkok, we were ready to trade the city’s energy for the tranquility of island life. The moment we arrived at the Conrad Koh Samui, with its sweeping ocean views and the kind of serenity that feels almost dreamlike, we knew we were in for something special. But neither of us could have imagined just how unforgettable this trip would become. Our days on the island were filled with adventure—zipping along winding roads on a moped, discovering hidden beaches, and soaking in the sun-drenched beauty of Thailand. As the evening approached, we returned to our villa to prepare for what I believed to be a much-anticipated Thai cooking class at the resort. Cullen, ever the thoughtful planner, suggested we get ready a little early so we could take photos for our first Christmas cards as an engaged couple. Turning back, I found him suddenly on one knee, his hand reaching for mine, his eyes filled with love and certainty. The world around us faded, and in that instant, nothing else existed but us. With absolute joy, I said yes—though, in true Lauren fashion, I couldn’t help but follow up with a question of my own: "Wait... are we still going to the cooking class?" Of course, there was no cooking class. Instead, Cullen had orchestrated an evening of pure perfection—a private photographer to capture our moment, chilled champagne waiting to toast our future, and an intimate villa dinner where we celebrated under the stars. It was a night straight from a dream, the perfect beginning to our forever.
