Things To Do

We’re so excited to celebrate with you in our hometown! If you’re spending the weekend in Dallas, check out some of our favorite restaurants, coffee shops, and local staple spots.

Merit Coffee

4228 Oak Lawn Avenue, Dallas, TX 75219

One of our favorites! Merit is a Texas-grown roaster known for smooth lattes, balanced pour-overs, and modern, airy cafés. It’s the perfect place to kick off your morning before exploring the city.

Bishop Arts District

Dallas, TX 75208

A charming, walkable neighborhood filled with boutique shops, murals, and unique restaurants. Perfect for an afternoon of wandering and finding hidden gems. We went on several dates in Dallas here!

Velvet Taco

3411 McKinney Avenue, Dallas, TX 75204

A Dallas original serving creative, chef-inspired tacos with flavors from around the world — our favorites are the grilled salmon taco, buffalo chicken taco, elote, and chips! It’s open late, which makes it a perfect stop after a night out.

Chelsea Corner

4830 McKinney Avenue, Dallas, TX 75205

A Dallas institution since the 1970s, now refreshed with a modern twist. Known for craft cocktails, hearty American eats (burgers, flatbreads, salads), and a lively patio scene with TVs for sports.

Dallas Museum of Art

1717 North Harwood Street, Dallas, TX 75201

A world-class art museum with free general admission. You’ll find everything from ancient artifacts to contemporary art, plus special traveling exhibits that change throughout the year.

Pecan Lodge

2702 Main Street, Dallas, TX 75226

A Dallas legend for barbecue. Known for its melt-in-your-mouth brisket, burnt ends, and famous “Hot Mess” loaded sweet potato. Go early — the line starts before they open!

Klyde Warren Park

2012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway, Dallas, TX 75201

Built over a major freeway, this urban green space is lined with food trucks, games, and free activities. A great spot to relax between museums or grab a casual lunch.

Drip Coffee

3888 Oak Lawn Avenue, Dallas, TX 75219

A cozy neighborhood spot with strong, rich brews and friendly service. Perfect for grabbing a classic cup or lingering with a pastry and good company.

Cane Rosso

2612 Commerce Street, Dallas, TX 75226

Beloved for its authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven. The “Honey Bastard” pizza with hot soppressata and honey is our favorite.

The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza

411 Elm Street, Dallas, TX 75202

Located in the former Texas School Book Depository, this museum shares the life, legacy, and assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Thoughtful exhibits and a walk around Dealey Plaza make this a must-see for history lovers.
