Patrick & Nicole met at a Halloween party in White Plains that her future brother in law David was throwing. Patrick was dressed up as a lumberjack, matching his two best friends Tim and Chris and Nicole was dressed up as a Doublemint Twin matching her twin sister, Michele. The funny thing is they both weren't even sure if they were going to the party that night and almost backed out but they are so happy they didn't because once they met each other...the rest was history!
If you didn't already know, Patrick & Nicole love to travel and have visited many places together throughout their relationship (Aruba, Jamaica, Ireland, Florida, Boston, St. Lucia and the list goes on). So it was not out of the blue for them to book a surprise trip for their 3 year anniversary through a company called Pack Up & Go. This company books 3-day trips for you and you don't know where you're going until the day of the trip - kind of scary but also super exciting! Nicole didn't know that Pat was planning to make this trip an even bigger surprise and had been planning it for a while. When they found out they were going to Savannah, GA, they were so excited! Pat didn't know the exact location until Nicole found out, but knew this was the trip where he would pop the question. On the second day of their trip, they got ready and had a nice brunch in town, then went on a trolley ride around the city and stopped off at the beautiful Forsyth Park to take pictures by the fountain. They took a few selfies before asking a random woman to take some photos of them. When Nicole went to go get her phone back, Pat asked the woman for one more picture. Nicole asked "why?" and Patrick said "you know", with the biggest smile on his face. Then he got down on one knee, pulled out the ring and asked Nicole if she would marry him and she of course said YES! The woman taking the pictures even managed to snap a video and was able to capture the perfect moment. They then spent the next hour in the park in shock of the amazing moment that just happened, called their parents and family and enjoyed the rest of their trip together as FIANCES! Needless to say, this was their best trip to date and will be hard to top!
