Dallas Farmers Market
The Dallas Farmers Market was established in 1941 as the municipal farmers market. Historically, it was the central hub for farmers to bring their produce, meats, and dairy to the city. Today, with the development in downtown Dallas, the Dallas Farmers Market has been transformed to be the farmer's market for the future. The addition of food entrepreneurs along with farmers and ranchers makes this a place to taste the diverse flavors and cultures of Texas. The Market is open daily with a variety of eateries and shops. The Shed is open over the weekends as an open-air farmers market.
Dallas Arts District
The Dallas Arts District is the largest urban arts district in the US. Spread over 20 square blocks and encompassing 68 acres, the walkable downtown hub of creativity features art for all the senses with award-winning museums, performing arts venues, restaurants, and bars, while an arts magnet high school, Booker T. Washington, inspires tomorrow's brilliant artists.
Bishop Arts District
The hip Bishop Arts District is known for its diverse nightlife, chic independent fashion stores and colorful street art. Dining choices range from Texas-style BBQ to Vietnamese pho, while relaxed bars pour everything from cocktails to house-brewed cider. Cult movies are the draw at the Texas Theatre, while the art deco Kessler Theater presents live music by local and national bands
Deep Ellum
Deep Ellum is a historic and culturally significant neighborhood located just east of downtown Dallas, Texas. Deep Ellum is known for its lively entertainment scene with vibrant street murals, art galleries, live music venues for indie and blues, brewpubs, cocktail bars, and various eateries. It hosts events like the Deep Ellum Community Arts Fair and the Deep Ellum Arts Festival, which feature music and visual artists.
NorthPark Center
NorthPark Center, sometimes referred to as simply NorthPark, is an enclosed shopping mall in Dallas, Texas. It is at the intersection of Loop 12 and US 75. Opened in 1965, it now has over 235 stores and restaurants and annual sales of over $1 billion. It is the 20th-largest shopping mall in the US.
