DuPont State Recreational Forest
This is Cub and my favorite place to go hiking! We recommend the hike to Triple Falls and seeing the covered bridge. It’s about an hour from Rutherfordton and makes for a great day trip. We also recommend stopping in downtown Brevard afterward and visiting MANtiques and Highland Books. For food, we suggest Rocky’s Grill & Soda Shop and Hawg Wild Smokehouse & Taproom.
Asheville
Asheville will always feel like home to us. We love spending time at our favorite spots, Bebettes and White Duck. We love walking downtown, and shopping at local shops, especially the L.O.F.T.
Biltmore
A classic thing to do when visiting Asheville is to explore the estate, it’s incredibly beautiful and can easily fill an entire day. We especially love going on a nice day and walking along one of the many trails the estate has to offer.
