WEDDING SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS

It was a fine night for the brothers of Theta Chi (ΘΧ) RPI Delta Chapter as they were preparing for a night of dancing and fun at their annual formal. A few lucky ladies were preparing for the night as well, of whom Christina was one of them. However, she was invited by a friend whose name did not start with an S. During the formal, Christina spotted a tall, handsome man dancing in the crowd as if no one was watching, long hair flowing and without a care in the world. “Who’s that??” Christina asked her friend, pointing to the man who captured her attention. “That’s Scott Black,” he answered, “Great guy, one of the nicest guys I know.” Unbeknownst to Christina, Mr. Black heard the pair say his name, and quickly turned around and said “I’m Scott M Black!” And turned back around, facing the dance floor and out of Christina’s sight as quickly as he had appeared. Christina was sold, and knew that this Scott was a hidden gem, whom she needed as her husband. A few weeks past with slow progress, the two followed each other on Instagram, bumped into each other at the RPI Weight Room while pretending to ignore each other, only to later find out they each casted a few stares while the other was looking away. Still the two had yet to have a proper introduction. Some may say, come on Scotty what’s taking you so long?! But Christina learned that good things come to those who wait. Christina’s roommate began dating a ΘΧ brother who lived directly across from Scott - now, the two had a mutual connection. So, when an Albany snow day came, Scott got Christina’s roommate Claire in on the plan for the two to meet (in college, snow day = party day). Claire brought Christina over to the frat’s snow-day party where Christina & Scott introduced themselves finally (as if they really needed an introduction), became pong teammates and won a few games! Their competitive nature quickly drew them together… And the rest is history. I guess college love stories really do come true!
