Forever Meant to B & B

On January 5, 2020, Brooke and Bryan were unknowingly headed toward the start of their love story while traveling home on the same Delta flight from separate family vacations in the Bahamas. By chance, Bryan was seated directly behind Brooke. They exchanged a few glances—and a little flirtation—but never exchanged phone numbers. Brooke’s mom even tried to spark a conversation, but after landing at JFK that night, they went their separate ways, unaware they’d just missed something big. Fast forward to July 1, 2020. While scrolling through Hinge, Brooke came across a handsome face that looked oddly familiar. At exactly midnight, she received a like back with a message: “Hey, you look familiar—do I know you from somewhere?” From that moment on, the two tried to piece together how they might know each other, only to discover they had been on the very same flight six months earlier. What felt like a surreal twist of fate quickly turned into something special. Smitten by their story, Brooke and Bryan went on their first date on July 16, 2020, and officially became boyfriend and girlfriend on August 23, 2020—though from the very first conversation, they never really stopped talking and instantly fell in love. Fast forward again to December 2025. Bryan planned a mysterious surprise trip, telling Brooke only that they’d be leaving in ten days and heading somewhere warm and tropical. Brooke, bursting with excitement, ordered outfits for a destination she could only imagine. On December 24, 2025, the two arrived back at JFK—the same airport where their story first began—when Bryan handed Brooke her passport, revealing it was an international trip. At the gate, Bryan told her to check the departure board, where she discovered they were boarding a Delta flight to Nassau, Bahamas—this time sitting side by side. Once in Nassau, Brooke learned they were staying at Baha Mar, the very same hotel where she had stayed on the trip they took when they first met. After two days filled with sun and memories, on December 25, 2025, Bryan suggested that they take some beach photos. As the sun set and they found a quiet, private spot, Bryan got down on one knee and asked Brooke to marry him. A story like this doesn’t happen every day. Brooke and Bryan describe their love as “bashert”—the Yiddish word for meant to be.
