We're Getting Married!

Ben first saw Charlotte walking across campus at the beginning of their freshman year at Transylvania University, and he knew right away she was special. Charlotte doesn't remember when she first met Ben.

They became friends during sophomore year, doing a production of She Kills Monsters at Transy. They joked about boats made out of snacks, and Ben made Charlotte cupcakes for her birthday. They never really had a "first date," but they consider April 24, 2016, as their anniversary. After college, they spent 2+ years dating long-distance (during which they adopted Q the dog and Ren the cat) before finally reuniting when Charlotte joined Ben in Racine, WI. In June 2021, they moved back to Lexington. They enjoy being ridiculous nerds together and eating a lot of pizza.

On August 12, 2021, Ben lured Charlotte to Little Theater at Transylvania University. He said some very sweet things and then asked her to marry him. She said yes.
