FAQs

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Pretty Place is an open-air chapel, so you’ll be seated under a covered structure but open to the mountain air.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-formal attire is requested. Wear something that makes you feel your best (just not white!). Since this is a mountain wedding in May, we recommend bringing a light layer in case the weather changes.

Question

Are there any special consideration for shoes?

Answer

Yes. The ground and walkways at Pretty Place are stone and uneven in places. Riverain is farm-style so wedges, block heels, or flats are recommended over stilettos.

Question

What are the wedding colors?

Answer

Blush, sage green, ivory, and gold.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 15–20 minutes early so you have time to get settled before the ceremony begins.

Question

Is the ceremony unplugged?

Answer

Yes, we kindly ask that you keep phones and cameras put away during the ceremony. You’re welcome to take photos before and after.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, only guests listed on the invitation, including those marked “and Guest,” are invited. Thank you for understanding!

Question

How far is Riverain Farm from Pretty Place?

Answer

It is approximately a 20–30 minute drive.

Question

Will there be time between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be a short transition period to allow guests to travel safely and comfortably.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Children are welcome; however, the reception venue requires that children 12 and under be supervised by a designated non-guest chaperone (such as a family member or babysitter).

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, beer, wine, and liquor will be served.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Please enjoy and celebrate responsibly.

Question

How will dinner be served?

Answer

The evening will begin with passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by a buffet-style dinner.

Question

What’s the hashtag?

Answer
