It all began at a Monday night run club in May of 2024… which is ironic, because Crystalle doesn’t run. She was there celebrating her besties birthday when Connor came up and introduced himself—an interaction Crystalle barely recalls. Connor later followed her on socials, where they exchanged the occasional interaction, eventually leading him to ask her on a bike ride not long after. Crystalle politely declined… mainly because she didn’t own a bike. Not discouraged, Connor found another way in—landing an interview at the company where Crystalle worked. She was asked to sit in on the interview and rather than interviewing for a job… we think Connor was really interviewing to be Crystalle’s boyfriend. Because somewhere along the way, Crystalle decided she was more interested in dating Connor than working with him… and the job opportunity didn’t stand a chance. And the rest was history! FAST FORWARD (the proposal) Labor Day weekend of 2025… Connor & Crystallé had planned a trip out west as they had set a goal to visit at least one National Park every year! This year Crystallé suggested Rocky Mountain National Park where they could visit with friends from Connor’s time living in Colorado & they could spend time traveling around and exploring RMNP. Leading up to the trip Connor was quickly becoming under the weather & upon arrival he was rapidly declining.,. Crystallé much concerned about the state of Connors health was not sure that RMNP was in the cards for the next day. Connor ensured her that he would be fine and they should continue on as planned. So they popped into a convenience store and stocked up on DayQuil & Kleenex to make sure Connor would survive the day. Crystallé was so concerned about Connors health and rapid change in elevation she simply had zero suspicions that Connor was planning to propose later that day! So they trekked along, making stops and short walks to beautiful overlooks all day long. Meanwhile… secretly Connors agenda kept him on a strict timeline due to there “dinner reservation” in Estes Park. The day went on and they were finally approaching the last of the views and making their way towards the park exit as Connors suddenly pulls off to a scenic overlook. Crystallé simply went along with it. Connor starts making his way towards a path which looked a bit lengthy & Crystallé threw a curve ball as she was hitting her limit on longer hikes at this point & suggested a different route with an incredible overlook. LUCKY for Connor, Crystallé’s suggestion led them in the right direction all along. Where they would nearly stumble over a local hiker shooting some photos of nature OR so Crystallé thought. Crystallé beelined it for a rock where she planned to sit and take in the scenery. Moments later she turned back to look at Connor suddenly becoming consumed by emotions as he professed his love for her. Crystallé had an overwhelming look of confusion as Connor dropped to one knee & asked for her hand in marriage. Crystallé then proceeded to scream WTF are you kidding me, followed up by an undeniable yes! The end.
