If shopping is your thing, South Congress is your spot! They have tons of funky shops, local boutiques, and higher end shopping. Catch a live show at The Continental Club while you're there, get some icecream at Amy's, and take a photo at the "I Love You So Much" mural.

Rainey street is a fun area you must go to while in town! It is full of bars that were converted from old bungalow-style homes. This is a fun area to hang out in during the day or at night!

Sixth street in Austin is a stretch of bars located on 6th street between Congress Ave. & Interstate 35. The streets are closed off to traffic during the weekend and so it gets pretty rowdy at night. Great place to check out if it's your first time in Austin!

This iconic honky-tonk has been around for 50+ years long before Austin's peak development and had legendary artists play here like Willie Nelson, George Strait, Alvin Crow, The Dixie Chicks, Bob Wills, Ernest Tubb, Tex Ritter and Ray Price! Definitely put this on your list if you want to get a taste of some two-stepping. Please note, there normally is a cover charge to enter the dancehall portion.
