We plan on being in Charleston, SC by Friday, June 28 and staying at Home2 Suites by Hilton in Mount Pleasant (see Travel tab for details). Prior to that, we are welcoming family and friends to stay in our home or there's a Hampton Inn just down the street if you don't want to risk getting a blow-up air mattress or couch! Either way, the more the merrier and we'd love to spend as much time as possible with you. No reason to go home after the ship gets back, come spend 4th of July with us and stay at our place for a long weekend! The cruise ship is approximately a 5-hour drive from our home if you want to make the road trip; we'll be making the drive as well. The closest airport to our home is Greensboro, NC then Charlotte, NC. Let us know ahead of time so we can pick you up from the airport.

Boarding the Carnival Sunshine

Beach Attire

If you don't have a passport, you MUST have your photo I.D. accompanied by your birth certificate. The wedding party and guests have early boarding to the Carnival Sunshine. All guests MUST go to the parking garage and drop off their luggage, then head to the shuttles which will take you to the Carnival Sunshine. Please be at the garage and go to the Wedding Guest Check-In area by 10:30 a.m.; everyone will be allowed to board once customs clears the ship. Please dress in your "beach-themed" wedding attire as you will not be able to get into your suitcases or rooms until after the wedding. It will be hot and most likely humid, so wear something light and breezy. Here's what we recommend: Men: Khaki shorts, polo short-sleeved shirt or Hawaiian shirt. Women: Shorts, sun dress, flats or heels.
