Spouting Horn
This was a great place to stop by and take in the uniqueness for a few minutes. There is a small sandy beach nearby and the Beach House beach is about 5 min from this location if you want a great place to snorkel.
Waimea Canyon
This is about an hour drive from the Beach House and is totally worth it! It’s Hawaii’s “Grand Canyon”. It’s about $10.00 to park if you do the lookout location and $5.00 a person. You can even take trails and hike out to see the waterfalls if you want to be more adventurous.
Brick Oven Pizza
This place had a cool atmosphere and delicious pizza. The pizza crust was fantastic!! There also was a full bar. Highly recommend!
Lydgate Beach
Perfect place to take kids swimming as it has a rock barrier keeping the waves out. There is also a large play structure, benches to eat a packed lunch, restrooms, and a lifeguard.
Poipu Bay Golf Couse
Gorgeous views, lush fairways and great games with friends await you. If you have plans to golf we highly recommend this course!
Kiahuna Beach
Great safe place to swim with nice sandy beaches and large waves. The waves can be really fun to play in. There are no lifeguards or restrooms.
Kilauea Lighthouse
Located on the north side of the island about a two hour drive from the Beach House. It’s an easy walk to see the lighthouse and tons of wildlife along with gorgeous ocean views. Recommend booking ahead to make reservations.
Beach House Beach
This is a perfect beach to snorkel. There are lots of colorful fish and you may even get to see a turtle. It’s rocky so we recommend that you bring your water shoes with you.
