Mimi and I met back in 2012 at Coney Island through a mutual friend. She asked me to go on a ride with her (I don't do rides but I wasn't about to tell her that). I said yes, I don't remember the name of the ride but it was the one that has two ends and moves in a circle. Anyway, while Mimi and I were waiting at the top (they were getting people situated at the other end) she started to slightly freakout so I started to ask her questions to distract her. Her favorite color (red), her birthday (Feb.7th)....While we were up there I should have been afraid but I felt safe. I barely knew her and would have been fine with learning everything about her right there, while we sat overlooking most of Coney Island. That ride was the beginning of our relationship....Two to three years later we went our separate ways. We were very young and there was a lot going on in our lives that we needed to navigate through. Don't get me wrong we were able to guide each other through some dark places but that year was darker then most. We continued with our lives and many years later we found each other again. I truly believe that God's hands have always been upon us and He didn't just bring Mimi back into my life He brought Logan as well. When I think of Mimi and Logan I think of the family I've always wanted and now have. Our wedding means many things for the both of us and I am very thankful to each and every one or our friends and family members that will be joining us for our special day.
