Marc and I came here for the first time to grab a drink before watching the Pistons play the Bucks (and it was a CLOSE game!!). It's a super cool industrial space with several different food vendors and bars!
The most stunning art museum located in Midtown. Grab a drink and bite at Kresge court, and make sure to check out the famous Diego Rivera court!
A cute park in downtown that hosts a variety of events, such as ice skating in the winter and holiday pop up shops!
A vibrant and intimate restaurant serving up East African cuisine. The food is absolutely INCREDIBLE (the owner is a James Beard semifinalist!!), and we try to find any excuse we can to eat here.
A cozy cocktail bar located in The Belt, an alley filled with good food and drink and amazing art murals.
A small alleyway right outside the Shinola Hotel! Visit Bon Bon Bon for some delicious chocolate, Mad Cap Coffee for some caff, or Rebel Nell for Detroit-inspired jewelry.
Take a walk on "America's best river walk" and say hi to our Canadian neighbors!
If you're a fan of Mexican food head over to this neighborhood for some great options. Marc also lived here for a summer during college!
Belle Isle is a lovely park in the Detroit River with a gorgeous view of Canada! It also has the Belle Isle Aquarium which opened in 1904 - one of Crystal's favorite places.
A HUGE farmers/arts & crafts market. Also make sure to stop by Eastern Market Brewery for some good beer.
