Our venue! Feel free to check out the whole park during your stay! In 1855, Hanson Robinson (1815-1871), a merchant from Philadelphia built Woolton Hall, an elaborate gothic revival style mansion. The home went on to be expanded and renovated by its different owners. William du Pont Jr. (1896-1965) was the last private owner of the estate and an avid equestrian. He transformed not only the mansion to its current neo-classical style, but also the park’s land to include horse stables, indoor horse training facilities, and a 1 ⅛ mile horse track. Du Pont’s home, now called Bellevue Hall, stands as the park’s centerpiece. Twelve additional structures that kept the estate self-sustaining can be spotted throughout the park, including the Percheron Barn, Mount Pleasant Schoolhouse and more.
