We both worked for this horrid company; it shall remain nameless. However, through this company we found an eclectic group of friends and had so much fun together. From random Atlantic City trips to beer and firepit gatherings; in the sticks of Long Island. A guaranteed blast and all smiles, when we're together. I always called Duane, Husband (guess I foresaw that). However, we or shall I say I didn't want to compromise our friendship nor my friendship with his sister (Alex). So Duane stayed friend-zoned. Years later, life happened and Duane is in a position, that only I can understand; the loss of a partner. As his friend, it was important to me that I be there for him. Whether it be just to listen or crack jokes. He appreciated it and started getting the wind back in his sails. Our world began to shift and merge. We knew God allotted us another opportunity. We thought, who makes better life partners than friends. Now here we are... Marrying each other. See there are rainbows after storms.
In Venice, Italy on a gondola... Can you believe that??? I didn't know what he was doing. I thought he was going to drown us🥴; when I saw him turning around and bending down. I think I went deaf for a moment... My cousin, Gia, said LOOK mama, put your phone down... pay attention. When I finally realized what was happening, I was like... whattttttttt??? I guess Duane asked again and I heard him that time🤣. I said YES! So beautiful and unbelievable at the same time. We're still flying high on that one.
