It was July 21 2020 and Deshae was working at Portillos she seen Crystal standing in line waiting for her food and she said “I like your shirt”. They exchanged numbers at first Crystal was hesitant but Deshae was persistent to get to know Crystal more .. and the rest is history of this love story.

It was August 10 2022 Deshae and Crystal’s 2 year anniversary, Deshae been planning the proposal for 7 months prior to the big day. Deshae went the old fashion way and got Crystal’s parents blessing before proposing. With the help of family and friends Deshae was able to pick out the type of engagement ring she knew Crystal would love. The day of Crystal and Deshae celebrated their anniversary with a dinner with friends, to calm her nerves down Deshae went to the bathroom took a deep breath and came back with a beautiful speech and proposed.
