We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Our story began on one fateful night during high school, and took off when Crystal agreed to go on a date in an effort to stir the pot amongst her girlfriends. Little did she know, she was setting the stage for the greatest love story of her life! Shortly thereafter, Chris asked her to be his girlfriend outside of Five Guys, a simple yet heartfelt gesture that marked the beginning of our love story. From there, we shared unforgettable moments throughout senior year of high school, which included countless Yankee games, NYC adventures, and two prom nights, dancing and dreaming of the adventures that awaited us…separately, as Crystal entered Florida State University and Christopher entered Binghamton University upon graduation. Yet, within the excitement and joy for our future together, there were challenges. Most saliently, long-distance love tested our connection, but fate had a way of bringing us back together when our paths crossed again in New York as both of us pursued higher education. Throughout it all, the unwavering support of our friends and family served as a constant source of strength, reminding us that love knows no distance and that we were never truly alone in our journey!

As our adulthood brought us to NYC, we lived separately with roommates, which added excitement and companionship to our journey. Amidst the bustling life of the city, we found solace in moments together and with friends, celebrating anything and everything! Further, our love led us on thrilling adventures across the world, from the Great Wall of China to the beaches of Thailand and to the vibrant streets of Spain. These experiences wove the fabric of our love story, creating cherished memories. Through it all, our beloved Frenchie, Luna, brought even more excitement into our lives. The road to our happily ever after was not without its challenges, especially during the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic that reminded us of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment, bringing us closer together. It was truly during these times that our love grew deeper, stronger, and more resilient than ever before.

Our unwavering connection has truly shone brightest as we have journeyed through trials and triumphs, our paths intertwining and growing together. Then, in August 2023, among the backdrop of a breathtaking hot air balloon ride, Chris knelt down and asked her to marry him. It was an intimate moment filled with love, laughs, and remembrance, as we felt the presence of our parents, David Ortiz and Agnes Joong, our beloved parents, who have passed away, surrounding us in spirit. As we reflect on our journey, we are filled with gratitude for the winding path that has led us here. On May 23, 2025, surrounded by our loved ones, we will exchange vows and embark on the greatest adventure of all, continuing to write our story together, building a life filled with love, happiness, and endless laughter! -Crystal & Christopher
