Like many modern love stories, ours began with a simple swipe — but it was so much more than that. We met on Bumble, where Crystal had written in her profile that she was looking for a partner who had a relationship with Jesus Christ. That line and her captivating smile caught Chidera’s attention and heart. He liked her profile and responded with two simple yet powerful words: “Me too.” There it all began! We connected during the last month of Chidera’s summer break before he moved to Ireland to begin his Master’s program. With an ocean soon between us, it would've been easy to let the moment pass. But from the start, our connection felt intentional — and God-ordained. Though miles stretched between us, distance was never a barrier. We stayed close through long phone calls, heartfelt voice notes, shared devotionals, and virtual date nights filled with laughter and love—made even sweeter by the moments we were able to be together in person. In a season when many might have grown apart, we only grew closer, nurturing a love rooted in Christ, sustained by prayer, and faithfully guided by God’s hand. We believe it wasn’t just an app that brought us together — it was divine timing. And now, here we are: grateful, excited, and ready to begin the rest of our lives together.
